Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

Head Gear WC755IPT Web Cam

I have a Head Gear WC755IPT web cam connect to a Compaq Presario SR1625NX (AMD X64, 1GB Ram, Asustek Amberine motherboard,Phoenix Tech. BIOS, dated 10/14/2005, ATI Radeon XPress 200 Series video card).

I installed the web cam's driver, as per the manufacturer's instructions. How ever, when I plug the web cam in, I get an Unknown Device under the USB Controllers. When I try to start the camera, I get a no driver loaded error, and no capture device present.

What do I need to do to get this web cam working? I know the cam works, as I have connected it successfully to another pc (running XPPro).

Thanks for the help!

Hello. I have a compaq presario CQ56 and when i go to use my web cam it tell me that it is not turn on. I have a web cam bulit in. When i use sypke my mic works but no picture.

This could be a driver issue.

Right click on "Computer" then select properties.

Then click on Device Manager and find the camera in the list. It might be under Imaging devices.

Right click the camera, then select properties. Go to the driver tab and select update driver. The select the Search automatically option to update it.

I hope this helps.

When i make a call on the skype...the other person sees the pink video of mine i see myself pink too...what can i do to solve it...My Os win7..

This might be an issue with your web cam settings or the web cam itself. Try going through the options of the web cam to see if there are any settings making the web cam display everything pink. If not then try the web cam in another computer (I'm assuming you have a desktop with an external web cam) see if the video is still pink. If it is then there is an issue with your web cam if not then it is an issue with the settings on your computer

In the event that you are using a laptop with a built in web cam you might want to check if you still have a warranty to get the web cam repaired.

Hope this helps

When I try to start my web cam I keep getting this message about web cam driver did not work restart camera or computer. I have restart my computer too many time and still does not work.

It sounds like you need to update your driver for the web cam.
Step 1: Go to device manager
Step2: Find the web cam in the device list
Step3: Open Properties
Step4: Have the device manager search for driver.

Other option:
with the web cam unplugged from computer, in device manager uninstall the web cam, restart computer, then plug web cam into computer and let OS find and install drivers.
