I own the Durabrand Model DVD-1002 player, and the remote died. I've tried using a universal remote, and it tries to program, but won't do what it's supposed to. Can I get a new remote just for this player?

No way, all chinese DVD players has near the same remotes but with mixed buttons, finding a match or programming a universal remote is near impossible.
