Im sorry about that, well anyway it seems that the lens of your camera is already defective,

Kodak v1253 camera turns off when zoom lever is activated

Maybe the lens movement is sticking and causing additional overload for the camera circuits, thus causing it to shut down.

My problem is that the lens stays open, all the lights flash, I hear a very low set of tones and then it shuts off. I recharged the batter and tried all the fixes except taking it apart

Sounds like a stuck lens. Happens to V1253 / V1233 often. These lens can't stand dust, dirt or sand. The lens has to be taken apart and cleaned. It's not very easy, also it involves some soldering. I suggest you give it to a local repair shop (if you think it's worth it). I could offer you a repair, but I'm in Germany.
I have worked at a Kodak service center as a technician.

The lense pushes forward halfway when turned on

Hi!
I'm afraid you will have to give it away for a repair - it sounds like the lens get stuck in the halfway - could be dirt, sand or something in the reductor or the lens are damaged.
I work in a Kodak service center.

Hope this helps!

I have a digital camera kodak easyshare V1253 and when i turn on, the lens go out ,but inmediately the camera turn off and the lens go in back ,I check the batery in a especial store and is in a good...

Remove the batteries and clean the battery contacts inside the camera with a soft cloth (a heavy buildup on the contacts may require cleaning with a fine wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that the cleaning leaves in the camera, and then reinstall the batteries. This clears most power-on problems, but if yours persists, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:

Lens jammed on a kodak v1253

I fixed my v1253 following these steps:
1. Pulled the battery when the lens starts to come out before it could power itself off.
2. Gently pull the telescope out until it clicks.
3. Use a fine tip paint brush to clear debris out of the cracks.
Camera works just fine now.

Lens jammed will not retract, canon pc1147 zoom

I have had the same issue were the lens would not retract. took it in for extended warranty work. lens now retracts but takes lousy pictures.

When I purchased this camera family members ran out and bought thiers shortly after I did. One by one the same issue has happend to their v1253's.

I dissmantled one and found that there is a tiny battery on the power board inside of the camera. apparently the tiny battery's life is about 1 1/2 years. This battery is not serviceable as it is welded in place. I am not one hundred percent sure if this is the cause but it makes sense.

It would be nice if kodak would own up to this issue and make good on repairs as they did with my kodak 5500 all-in-one printer and it's crappy print head. Kodak has sent me 4 print heads in the 2 years I have owned it.

I have 5 of the v1253's in my family and every one of the are dead. I would think a $250 product should last longer than 1 1/2 years.
hope this helps.
