Question about Computers & Internet
I just bought a Acer 5040 from one of my friends. The computer belonged to her brother which is now gone over seas to war. He has got the computer locked where I can't do anything and we have not been able to talk to him,and not for sure when we can. How can I restore the computer with out the disk?
You could start with F10 for system recovery. Select an early reset point hopefully prior to the admin password installation If the lockup is in the BIOS password you could install a new bios chip or add a "user" password.

The easiest way to get into your system is to download a tool like this one: http://www.loginrecovery.com/ .
This site offers a free login recovery disk that will just tell you the password you want to know.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
