Question about Panasonic Home Theater System System
I had the same problem. I moved the carousel by hand while the sensor was trying to engage and it finally found its spot and spun a couple times and realigned the disc and now it works fine

Thanks for your help, but I couldn't wait any longer and took care of the problem. This is what I did to fix it: With the dvd player unplugged, I removed all the screws and opened up the dvd player to make sure that there was no dvd stuck inside. Once I confirmed that there were no obstructions, I then proceeded to plug in the dvd player so I can see how the player reacted to the error messages. I noticed that every time I pressed the eject button, the section where the sensor reads the disc was slightly moving but not fully reacting. So right above the laser sensor apparatus, there's a white plastic circular piece and I moved that around a few times and it did the trick. Problem solve, the dvd player is working like a champ. Hope this helps if someone out there that has the same problem.

That just happened to me last night. do you know if there is a disc inside the player? it's possible it is stuck and preventing the tray from opening.
