Trying going to the Kodak website, perhaps the store/shop, to see if you can order a replacement "shoe". The attaching plate or "shoe" is specific to your tripod so you will most likely need an exact replacement.

SOURCE: Missing part on Tripod - Velbon Victory 550

Where can I get parts?

I got from friend a Velbon Victory 550 tripod. The handle that prevent the head from tilting is missing, and so is a piece of plastic that apparently held the rod upon which the head of the tripod is placed from shaking.

thank you

How do i attach a nikon coolpix b700 to this tripod

Since you have neglected to tell us the make and model of the tripod, this can only be a generalisation - broken down into easy steps for you.

1) unclip the Q/R plate from the tripod head.

2) screw the Q/R plate to the base of the camera, using the tripod threaded socket.

3)re-attach the Q/R plate to the tripod head.

BTW, when using the camera on a tripod, use a remote control to prevent camera movement.

How to put a camera on it

If it's a quick release tripod you need to remove the quick release plate (Usually a release lever to the side of the top of the tripod) and then fasten the plate securely to the camera and then the plate to the tripod. Older non-quick-release tripods have a knurled screw located below the flat area where the camera is attached. If the screw is missing, get a relacement from your local hardware store - 1/4" -20. (Find a way to keep the new one from getting lost.)

Hampton fan

You are probably missing a part. There should be a mounting plate...usually round...that attaches to the ceiling or electrical box. The mounting plate would have small tabs or a lip around the edge with threaded holes for attaching the cover.

Nikon N60 SLR camera

It is more likely that the tab has separated from the plate it slides on. The spring is attached to the plate with the tab sticking out from it. I have repaired these in the past by boring a small hole in the backside of the tab and use a screw to re-attach it.

Tripod parts

I guess you can have a nice, personalized one made to order here: http://www.shapeways.com/model/132025/tripod_camera_plate.html but the price is going to be excessive even though S&H is gratis. As Guest says, you'd be better off buying a new tripod :-)
