My ancient pc tells me that I'm running out of hard drive space. I've done some cleaning up. Should I get an external hard drive or interna? Also, would the external drive move all the software from the internal one to the it? My internal drive has just under 10 Gb's. It's windows xp.I can't see what make it is, other than it's compaq 'evo'.
You can also use external portable hard disk, you can move all your software and stuff to it.
Better would be installing a new operating system to new hard **** with larger capacity, it will make your system fast.
You can also fit hard disk in your computer PC cabinet, you will just need to set it as "Slave" or secondary hard disk, to do this, setting is available on the hard disk.
you can go for both driver internal as well as external......the thing is what type of data you have stored in 10 gb hdd......if its user data file then you can move it to other external or internal hdd.....if you have installed some heavy software or program then you need to internal hard drive. because you can not copy installed software from one drive to other....for tis you have to install windows on other internal hard drive with bigger size like 160 gb or 250 or 320 gb.....its your wish which one you chose according to your need....

Umax 2200 usb scanner & Vistascan 3.55u in Windows XP Scanner installs to the default XP scanning software, but I have not been able to install the scanner so that it works with the Vistascan software. I much prefer Vistascan as it is much more user friendly & offers more flexibility. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, new problem. My uncle has asked me to fix his iWin media player. It plays it all and has an inbuilt fm transmission to listen to his music through his stereo. However, he only had it about a week and the screen froze on the menu. Same problem over and over. I've tried upgrading the firmware from firmware I've downloaded but its not specific to iWin and now the screen just shows white. I'm aware that this company don't have the most magnificent reputation but really want to do this for my uncle as he's done so much for me. Anybody any idea what chip is in the thing. Cannot get the board out of the shell at all, think its superglued in! Any help would be great. Ps, its still possible to access the files stored on it through the computer and also it does still power up, its not dead yet!!!
