Sometimes the error light will come on because of mixed signals sent. If everything works, then just ignore it. Unplug the oven or turn power off in fuse box. This may reset the light control. Be very careful around the power source. Wear rubber bottom shoes, have dry hands and floor. Don't touch exposed wires with anything. This is 240 volts that can hurt or kill you!!!!!!

    The "F20" error code means "Function switch problems".

    This oven has a very comprehensive diagnostic program and if you just bought it I would recommend to call the Gaggenau because the oven should be under the manufacturer warranty. other wise this is not your home handy person fix. This oven will need an electronic diagnoses.

We have a Gaggenau BO250/251. It gave error code E005, and after a lot of frustration, we opened the left hand light (NOT the light at the top of the owen) and fiddled a little with the bulb. And voila, the owen worked again.


Stupid design to disable the owen when the light does not work. Bravo, Gaggenau....

F23-relay electronics not selecting. There is either a fault with the pcb or a loss of continuity within the ribbon cable. Unfortunately, I think you are going to need an expert to look at this to confirm.
Sorry I cannot be of more assistance but some faults do require a physical check from a professional and cannot always be sorted out from a distance.
