i have got LG dvd in my pc.its not able to run cd's its only run dvd's.

sounds like you have a bad drive you can purchase another on ebay for pretty cheap
but you can try updating the dvd drives Firmware to do this you will need to go to LG website and se if the firmware is available if you give me your drive model i can further assist you
