I am using a DSL604T Router on my desk top but have another lap top in the house that has lost its connection to the internet, How can I remedy this problem......

If the laptop is wirelesly connected , Would suggest to wire it to the router first and then ensure you can browse. Once you have the router / laptop working wired, please set up the wireless connection once again.
