Just got my Genius MousePen tablet, mouse works fine, but it doesn't react to the pen in ANY way. Replacing the battery doesn't help!

- Same problem. I'm running Vista. Pen buttons work, but cursor won't move unless the setup dialog box is open to the pressure test tab.- Guest

- Same here. Also, the Hot Cells don't work anymore (they did the firstcouple of times). Oh, and some programs don't detect pressure levels(again, they did the first time), like ZBrush, but others (likePhotoshop) work fine. I came up with the same solution sbnunez: it getsthe tablet working, but it won't solve the Hot Cells and pressureissues. - dugerstein

- It worked perfectly for a month, and now it will not work when trying to use then pen as a mouse. It will work fine however in drawing programs, just not as a mouse on the desktop or web browser. Which it did work perfectly for when i bought it new.

- same problem here, mouse works on the tablet but pen does not, they work on other machines. just don't work on my desktop windows xp.
rebooted, reloaded soft ware over, over- carnalgadfly

ok i had the same problem BUT i opened the mouse pen control panel and under info i unchecked the "support tablet PC feature" and to my amazement it worked. hope it works for you :)

1. Remove any genius drivers you may have.
2. Install driver 3.something (the one on the disc you get with the tablet).
3. Reboot
4. Download driver 5.something (from geniasnet. cam) and install.
5. Reboot
6. Pen should world fine now.

Same problem. The only way I could get it to work was to open up the mouse pen control panel and click the Pressure tab. After that it works fine. The mouse pen control panel will just need to be in the background. Kinda sucks, but usable until a better solution comes along.

I just started having the same problem the other day. I got my tablet less than 2 weeks ago and I really wish I could find a solution to the problem already.

I just got mine too, and at first it worked just fine but now it won't respond to the pen like before. It won't move across the screen anymore unless I click one of the barrel buttons, in which case it jumps to where it would have been. I don't know how to check the battery though, how do you get inside the pen?
