I have a sansa view 8gb and I havve videos alreaady ther that iI would like to trrnasfer to my pc. What do I need to do. and Thanks

When you plug it in it should see it as a mas storage device. open my computer and you should see your device. open it up and cut what file you want to paste and drop it in your desktop

My sansa view will not finish turning on. It stops after sandisk sansa apprears on the screen. How do I fix this?

SOLUTION 1 - Make sure player is fully charged.
1. Connect the player to the PC.
2. Make sure the computer detects the player.

NOTE: If needed, switch the player to MSC mode, then connect it to the PC.

3. Leave the player connected for approximately 2 hours to charge.
4. Disconnect the player from the PC.
5. Verify if you can turn on the player.
6. Reset the player if necessary.

SOLUTION 2 - Reset the player.

Do we need any software to for sansa view 2.4 to downloadfiles from computer

Not for music; you can simply drag&drop files to/from the Sansa.

If you want to put pictures and/or videos on the Sansa, then you'll need the Sansa Media Converter to convert the files into a form the Sansa can handle. If you don't already have the SMC, you can download the Windows version from

After formatting my sansa view 8gb player videos are not playing only their sound is playing

you may have accidentially removed parts of the driver's firmware:
to replace it refer to procedure as described here:

Sandisk Sansa View 8GB = would not connect

I jsut purchased an 8GB sansa view mp3 and I downloaded it like I was suppose to and it does not work in Rhapsody at all, also in the windows media player it shows that the device was installed correctly but it still doesn't work and I still can't sync my songs to it. The sansa icon won't even show up
