Re: making a secure connection
Try a hard reset. You need a straightened paper clip. The Recessed reset button is to the right of the unit's power socket. Press and hold for 10 seconds and then release. Wait 5 minutes for it to finish rebooting and stabilise. Then try you admin login again.

You need to log into the wireless router either by a computer that successfully connects wirelessly or by physically connecting with an ethernet cable. Once connected, log into the router by open a web browser (Internet Explorer, MozillaFirefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari), and typing the router's address (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) into the Address (or URL) line. The default usernameand password is usually "admin" & "admin" or "admin" & "password". Once successfully logged in, look for a tab or link that says "Wireless" or "Security". You'll be able to change whether security is enabled or disabled, and the password associated with it. Your security options are WEP or WPA (or WPA-PSK). WPA-PSK is the most secure, but WEP is also an acceptable choice. Select the security option of your choice and either enter text into the passphrase generator or choose your own password and type it into one of the security key text fields. If you use a password that is not a plain english combination of letters and numbers, be sure to write it down so that you can enter it as needed on other wireless devices that need to access your router (ie-pda phones, game consoles, laptops, desktops, etc). Be sure to save changes so that the security settings and password is saved. Let me know how you make out.
try to go to 192.168.1.1 and entering admin in the password field and leaving blank the user name field. If that doesn't work go to 192.168.0.1 and login in with the email and password the internet is registered to.
Open the web browser, type in the IP Address of the router. Type admin in the User Name field, leave the Password blank. (However, if you have changed the password, please enter the correct password.). Click OK. Then Navigate to "Tools" (tab on the top) and then click on "Admin" button on the left. Enter the new password of your choice, please be sure to clickApply to save the changes. Hope this helps.

Okay, so you need to log on the router. Bring up your browser and in the address line, put in 192.168.1.1 and hit enter. That should take you to the logon page. Leave the username field blank and then enter admin as the password, all lower case. Then click on the Wireless link and select Wireless Security. Under the Security mode, go into the dropdown list and select disabled. That will have the Access Point as an Open connection.
