Hi. In home screen, key in *#7370# then enter security code. default is 12345. This will restore your phone to factory default. All messages, contacts, calendar entries and other user data will be erased. Make sure to backup all important data.

How to delete entries from address book of razr v3

Select the contact to be erased, click options ( should be one of the top soft keys) then select erase. If you want to delete all of them go to contacts and select options there. Erase All should be at the bottom of the list. If it asks for a lock code it is the last four of digits of the phone's cell phone number. Hope this helps! :-)

I have a nokia n95-1. I have copied sim contacts to the phone which have duplicated when I synchronised with Outlook. I can cope with that. What I dont understand is why the numbers of any of my contacts...

When you receive a phone call, the phone will look up in it's address book to see if it can find a match for that number, if there is only one match, great, it will display it, if there is more than one match, it would be difficult for the phone to 'guess' at who is calling, so instead it just displays the number.

First make sure you do not have duplicate Entries for the same number.
I would suggest you to do the following:
  1. Make sure you have copied all the contacts from your SIM to Phone
  2. Delete all the Entries from your SIM by selecting them at once
  3. Make sure you do not have any Duplicate Entry in the phone book
  4. If you suspect having duplicate entries, Sync. the phone with Outlook and search for Duplicate entries to delete them

Please make sure you have selected the default memory as SIM and Phone. If you have stored your contacts in the Address book of your Phone memory and selected the Sim card memory as the default phone book it is obvious that when receiving a call your phone will try to look for that number in the default memory selected by you or vise-versa.
Go to phonebook > Settings > and select the memory in use as Phone and SIM

Hope it is not confusing

Please get back for any clarification

I would like to clear all private data (contacts, call log, SMS, etc) from my Audiovox CDM 8610VM. Is there a master reset on this device?

Look up page 66 on the online manual.

Clears all phone book entries
Press [MENU], 9, 4, and enter “Password”.
The default password is the last 4 digits of your phone number
Press 5
Select “Contacts” or “Downloaded Ringtones”
and press [OK] to erase all the items in those

Call logs are erasable in the Recent Calls menu.

How do you erase a phone contact?

While in your phone book entries, select the entry and then use the right '-' symbol at the top of your keypad for options. In there you should be able to erase.

If that doesn't help would you tell me if you have a Verizon, Sprint or some other service model?

Any questions, please use the comment box below to reply.
