Question about CMB T43 750 Notebook
I have a Compaq NC6220 laptop. It has Windows XP Professional installed. The laptop was working fine. I left it for about an hour and when I came back it had powered down. A light was still on so I thought it might have been in sleep mode but still no power. For some odd reason, the battery charge light stays lit when the battery is inserted. I have allready tried removing the battery and unpluging the power source but the same results. No power with either source and the battery charge light stays on.
I been repairing computers for a while but have not seen this issue before, your thoughts Roger warren
First of all Technically a battery of any laptops usually loses performance after 500 (Full charge-recharge) cycles of usage, However it will work by holding shorter charge duration compare the brand new one. If battery is not being recognized you might have have older version of BIOS as Compaq has released newer version of BIOS for NC 6220. You can download the BIOS update from official website of hp-compaq. BIOS update should be done very carefully. As installation will prompt you the instruction. for your convenience I am adding the direct link for the BIOS update that you can download and install.
