What can I do with out buying the disk that was not with my phone? Help i've plugin my usb but it was said that an installation cd is needed but when i bought the fone it is not included No instal disk was provided
Motorola phones often require Motorola Phone Tools (sold separately) in order to upload and download content.
Your cellular carrier may have disabled some features of your phone, so you might want to check with them to make sure this will work as expected.

Try this link that applies for Motorola RAZR:
Check there are few related pages. Using the later i managed to recharge my RAZR with the USB cable, but i know it is also possible to perform file transfer. Note than you can use any mini-micro USB cable from a Canon digital camera, not necessary to buy Motorola cable.

EUREKA got the solution to my own problems! through browsing on the
forums in here and experimenting on the softwares. we had the same
problem and YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY A SINGLE DIME! Motorola didn't really included any disk which should have helped its consumers. darn!
download the MOTO RAZR V3 usb driver software (or your specific mobile phone model) from nodevice.com.
mine is from this link: http://www.nodevice.com/driver/MOTO_RAZR_V3/get39383.html
then download your MPT or mobile phone tools software online, search through yahoo and google in quotes.
plug in your phone through the usb cable (any brand of cable). the PC will pop the message "found new hardware" you browse the folder where you have saved your usb driver software you've just downloaded. then click next. woohoo!
afterwhich, as the PC have recognized the device. open your MPT software that you should have also installed on your PC after downloading them. the software will react to configure it to your device, if this part fails, click on (on the phone model thingy that should appear on your computer screen) MENU>SETUP>NEW PHONE then follow the instructions, it should automatically initialize your phone.
try zedge.net they have cool and free downloads there too! enjoy!
please feel free to add me up or send me a msg/comment in this one so we can help each other out.
all the best! must pimp my phone ryt now! woohoo!
