Iphone 2G keeps turning off by itself

Hi, my Iphone 2G keeps turning off by itself even with an 100% charged battery and its very difficult to reboot it. It seems to not turning off when its connected to my computer though. Maybe its a battery problem? What can I do? (my iphone has been jailbroken) Thanks for your help
