When cooking with my JennAir range the flame pulls sideways and it takes a long time to cook anything. When the grill is on the fan is on automatic.
With a frying pan on the burner the outside is only warm . The vent fan is set properly according to the cardboard checker.
What can be done to alleviate this problem?
I've had a duel-fuel Jenn-air for about 15 years, and all the problems you mention...I have them, too. I had the serviceman out twice to adjust the burners, and I still can't simmer anything...but then I also can't keep water boiling steadily for pasta, etc. Self-clean cycle has never worked properly; I have to turn it off manually or it would run for days! Same problem as mentioned on the burners' flame being drawn away when the fan is running. Sorry I don't have any solutions!!
We also have the same problem with our range and would appreciate any suggestions anyone has. We have also considered converting our grill side to gas burners, does anyone know if this can be done?

You can purchase a 2 burner cartridge. However, the problem I'm having with that is the gas is too high and is unable to cook anything on low.

There is no solution to this problem. this is the worst stove ever. It is marketed to people who love to cook and it is impossible to cook anything properly. I would rather cook outside than cook on Jennaire. I purchased the burners instead of the grill and you cannot regulate the flame at all. If you hate to cook this is the stove to buy.
