I purchased a Durabrand portable DVD player last year at Walmart and the battery will not recharge using the adapter. I have gone back to the Walmart store and they were unable to give me any advice on where to purchase a new battery. The model number is PDB 705. 7" portable DVD player. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well Durabrand is a walmart brand but fry's sales these external batteries that will hold alot more play time then it would to replace this for a new battery. And the cost is $49.00. You will get extended play time for the fraction of the cost of replacment batteries!! I hope this does help you out.
I wrote to Walmart.com. The corporate office. They contacted my local store and the store replaced my machine with a brand new magnavox even though my machine was 1 year old, Try it. They told us that customer satisfaction was guaranteed. They also told us that the company was out of business.
The Durabrand portable DVD players are no longer supported becuase the company Walmart contracted through went out of business last year. Walmart is taking exchanges for them. Ripoffreport.com has several complaints about the product line.
You can check with Radio Shack or Batteries + and see if its a common item based on those specifications.
