I don`t know the machine but if you`ve got a multimteer or an ammeter, connect the meter across the fuse connector and read the current. If it reads 200ma, fit a 250ma fuse into the socket. If you give it about 50-100ma above the reading, you`ll be fine. Ian

WHY DOES MY RECIEVER KEEP BLOWN FUSES WHEN I TURN THE POWER ON?

Fuses blow when there is an overload. The cause being a shorted semi-conductor that is acting as if it was a piece of wire.
Nine times out of ten it's the main power amp devices located on the heat sink that have gone. Often caused by faulty speaker wires, or wires touching each other, so check all your speakers and cables for faults, after you have fixed it!

the above mentioned make and model # unit is a tuner, not a reciever, as a tuner, it's only function is to recieve radio signals, there is no internal amp, no selector switch for other components.

Model TDC2075A Sansui Had lightning storm, lost power no close lightning strike. TV will not power up, don't know if it has internal protection or is power supply went out

you mite try replacing the ac fuse 1 time-if it blows again there is a short in the power supply-i would then check rectifiers in the primary of the power supply-then check the fet-if any of them are shorted replace them

Recording trouble

Hi again,

I understand. Must be a glitch somewhere. Anyways, I already posted possible solutions here your original posting/problem. They were:
1. Power on the Philips FW-R7, leave the left tray empty and closed. Open the tray and put in a recorded CD (not a CDR but a regular CD from your music collection), close the right tray. Wait a couple of seconds as the FW-R7 reads the CD. Now open the tray, remove the music CD and insert your CDR. The FW-R7 should read the CDR without the error message and record to the CDR from any source. Let me know if this works for you;
2. laser cleaning or realignment (would need a service center);
3. try using lower then 40X blank CDs.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

"r7" Error Code

If the camera works OK, then the r7 means that you have room in your memory buffer for 7 more pictures to take ("remaining 7"). As soon as you take a new picture, it gets transferred instantly to memory compact flash memory, and again r7 will display. The instance when there is r6, r4, etc. is short lasting, that you would not notice. Change you camera setting, let say for small size JPG, and you should see that many more files will fit in the buffer, as indicated by a larger number after the letter r.
