You should do a " I HAVE SAME PROBLEM" comment to that also, and do the recommended Flashlight Test and then tell us what you found out. If your monitor was working PERFECTLY the day before, then you might have a shot at having it repaired. Here is what might happen when you show up at the store to trade-in your E173FPd on a new wide-screen unit. The sales guy is going to drop off the E173FPd on the repair tech's bench and then the repair tech will open up your old unit and with a little bit of luck and a soldering iron and $3 to $7 in parts will now have a working monitor that will last another 2-3 years.
