I have an HP dv2000 laptop. Long story short it

I have an HP dv2000 laptop. Long story short it isn't working all of a sudden.(Duh, why else would I be here) Now for the long story. About 3 days ago my Vista laptop would freeze which it has never done. Just lock up and freeze all I could do was restart and that fixed the problem but it kept happening. Now all of a sudden yesterday it froze and when restarted all the lights (I.E. dvd buttons, wifi light, volume,power light etc etc) would be on as would the fan, yet the screen stayed black (not a backlight isue either) the entire thing was black. After a few restarts it would turn on. Later on it would need restarts and 5-30 minutes later it would do it again. I went to work came back after 8 hours it worked but froze again would not turn on. So I went to bed. I wake up today it still won't turn on. After checking it out 5 minutes ago it now does the same as before BUT NOT EVEN THE FAN IS RUNNING. I've done all the tricks taken out the battery blah blah blah still no go. HOW DO I FIX IT. btw no warranty left i checked that extended service page.
