Set-up won't recognize that the USB cable is connected to both printer and computer and therefore printer won't work. What's up with that??

1. Confirm the USB port on the computer you are connecting your printer to is being recognized by your computer. The easiest way to do this would be to plug a known good USB Memory stick into the USB port you want to use. If you can read the contents of the USB Memory stick then the port should work. Remove the Memory stick, start the printer installation program (Make sure you don't the printer connected), want until the setup program tells you to connect the printer before you attach the Printer's USB cable.
If the printer isn't recognized try a different USB port, when picking a new USB port to try select a higher priority port, for example in increasing priority from, an external USB hub, a powered external hub, a monitor based hub, USB ports on the front of the computer, up to the USB ports at the computer rear. For USB ports on the same circuit select an USB 2.0 before an USB 3.0 port

When I Connect My Aiptek 8100 camera to the PC, they show a message "USB device not recognized." Is this because I did not install it's driver? If so please tell me where I can find the driver?

Usually usb device not recognized is due to damaged usb cable or usb port..use a different usb cable and connect it to your pc, if your usb cable is ok then connect it to a different usb port. if the problem in not with the usb cable or port install driver from the cd you got with camera. if you dont have that cd download driver from the device manufacturer site.

6 If one is available, try a different USB cable that is under 10 feet.
NOTE: Some port replicators or docking stations for laptops or notebooks may cause a problem.
7 Confirm that you are installing the correct software driver for your printer model. For example, a 7600 Series driver works with the X7650 and X7675 All-In-One.

The computer must recognize the USB cable in order for installation to work. 13 Reboot your PC and try these steps again.

There can be following 3 problems.
1. USB driver on your laptop. If the driver on your laptop is not installed then it won't work. Confirm by putting any other usb peripheral.
2. USB cable is U/S. try change it.
3. Communication port on your mobile is U/S try to attach another mobile through same cable and check. If faulty then you have to replace the connector.

Epson printer not conecting with computer

there might be a connection issue here. if it is connected using a usb cable, check if your printer is talking to the computer, that means you will check if the computer can recognize the printer when connected using a cable,
i hope you state the os of your computer, anyways,

if XP click start--control panel--classic view--system--hardware--device manager--universal serial bus controller--look for usb printing support
(if you found it, connection is good)
if it is not there, unplug and replug the usb and try again, try another port on the computer, if still not, try another usb cable, if both usb are not recognized, it might be the port of the printer or computer, ti=o isolate that, try another computer if thats possible.

pls come back and give me a vote. I would really appreciate that, thanks in advance. good luck.
