Question about Printers & Copiers
I have the above printer,it has set for awhile and after turning it back on it started to smoke from the fuser,it like burnt the wheels so they now have flat spots on them and then reported error 010-320 can you shed any light on this error and tell me f or where I can locate one of these fusers for less than $500.
Nasty one ,that!
010-320 is an overheat code, which i'm sure you know.Possible cause could be sheet of paper gone under the temp control thermistor This causes the temp to be sensed incorrectly , but the overheat thermostat should have switched it off earlier,
So..you will need new heat roll and pressure roll, possibly thermistor and thermostat, so your idea of a replacement fuser is the way to go...can't help you there
point to watch for...it is possible the SCR that supplies the power to the fuser is faulty, it would therefore take out any new fuser you install ( incidentally you may also need a tech to clear the 010 code if it stays locked in...not good news, sorry!
