Camera reviews pictures and live video on memory card without problem, but in picture taking mode screen turns white when you turn on camera, have tried removing and replacing batteries - installed new fully charged batteries, removed and replaced memory card, have left in off position on dock station, tried batteries in similar model camera to ensure they are fully charged - also a Kodak-. --CW330 model. Have tried adjusting exposure compensation, white balance and tried adjusting ISO speed - still the screen remains white when powered on - camera worked perfectly until recently - has not been subjected to heat/cold water or other harmful environments, camera is less then 1 year old. Please advise! I use this camera for work as well as pleasure and need a solution quick! Thanks!
What happened is the lcd ribbon has loosed up or came off altogether.
Try this;turn camera on,squeeze case between your fingers, where sony
logo is,if ribbon is just loose the lcd should come back on. If this
doesn't work, take it to a local camera shop and have them fix it,it's a
very simple fix.

Finepix F31fd Screen suddenly went white- can still see menu's etc but cannot take photos or videos (though sound on video mode still works) screen remains white. Taken memory card/battery out- tried transferring the white pictures onto my computer to see if they had taken but they came out white too. Tried messing about with the functions but nothings happening- it's just all white!!
I'm having the same problem. When I turn on the camera, the LCD screen remains white. It doesn't appear to be cracked.. It's the backlight that remains lit, but no screen.
