Just want to tell the time!!! No alarms, no lap times. How do I change the time - I can't figure out whether the times displayed are alarm times or actual times.

The instructions that came with the PROSPIRIT watch are not easy to understand. Can anyone help me set the time on my watch?

    Just wrote these today:
There are four buttons. The Light button just turns on the backlight.

    Buttons Function
    Light Backlight
S1 = Reset Display when alarm is set
    S2 = Start Display date
S3 = Mode Toggle time, stopwatch, alarm set, time set modes

    While in Normal Time mode:

    Hold S1+S2 Toggle alarm on/off

Hold S1+S3 Toggle hourly chime. If bars across days displayed when you push the buttons, chime is on, If no days displayed, chime is off

    To set Alarm:
Push Mode button (S3) twice. The hour will be flashing. To set the hour, press Start button (S2) until the desired hour is displayed. To set the minutes: Press the Reset (S1) button until the minutes flash. Then press Start (S2) button until desired minutes are displayed. Push Mode button once to return to time.

    To use Stopwatch:
Push Mode (S3) button once. Then press the Start (S2) button to start the watch and press again to stop. To reset, press the Reset (S1) button once. Press Mode (S3) button once to return to the regular time

    To set Time:
Push Mode button (S3) three times. You will see the seconds flashing. Push Reset (S1) button once and minutes will be flashing. To change the minutes, use the Start (S2) button until desired number is displayed. To change the hour, press the Reset (S1) once until the hour is flashing. Use the Start (S2) button to scroll through the time. NOTE: There will be an A and P for am and pm settings, once you go beyond the P, you will see an H displayed to indicate the watch will be displayed in 24 hour format. IF you do not choose to have this setting, continue through the numbers until the proper number with A for am or P for pm is displayed.

Manuel for yacht timer 700 please. Best regards P.Hessner

Could not find a download for instructions on this watch, but I did manage to find some basic instructions for the Sector brand. I hope this helps as this is the best I can come up with.
Good luck.
Sector Chronograph Watch Instructions
  • Most chronograph watches have screw-down crowns for water resistance. You must unscrew the watch crown before you can make any changes to the watch time. After time is set screw the crown back in. To utilize the chronograph dials, use the buttons on the side of the watch. One button will be for the second timer. Press once for the second hand to start timing. Press again to stop it. Another button will be to reset the second hand timer back to zero. Sector Chronograph watches may have different dial functions (see link in References).
  • Sector Dual-Time Watch Instructions
  • Because Sector watches are known for their sports capabilities, the Dual-Time watches have screw-down crowns. For Dual-Time timepieces, unscrew the crown counterclockwise. Pull the crown to middle position to set the date. Pull the crown out to its fully extended position and rotate it to set the day of the week, hour and time. Press and hold in the crown and turn clockwise to seal the crown back in to the watch.
  • Sector Ana-Digi Watch Instructions
  • Sector Ana-Digi timepieces have analog hands plus digital timekeeping functionality. To set the time, unscrew the crown counterclockwise and then clockwise to the appropriate time. The digital functionalities are programmed by the buttons on the side of the case. Depending on the style of the Sector watch, you can set the digital time with one button, set the date display, 1/100 seconds chronograph timer, altimeter, thermometer and alarm functions.

Changing from 24 hr system to 12 hr system

    • Press "MODE" (lower left hand button) three times to get to the screen where the numbers are blinking, indicating that you can adjust the time
    • Make note of the hour if you don't have another clock handy
    • Press "LAP/RST" (lower right hand button) once to get the hour numbers to blink, indicating that you can change them
    • Press "ST/STP" (upper right hand button) to move the hour forward until you go past 24
    • At this point, you will notice a little "A" next to the time to indicate AM, and if you keep going past 12 hours, it will cycle back to 1, this time with a "P" next to it to indicate PM

    Sector 250 Chronograph Alarm

the middle dial on the right side of the watch is used to switch from watch settings to alarm settings..
pull the middle dial out to put it in alarm mode.
    To set alarm:
    -pull the center knob out.
-with it out you can now use the bottom (right) knob to set the alarm.
-pull the bottom right knob out one notch
-turn the knob clockwise or counter clockwise to set the alarm time
-push the knob back in (all the way)

    the alarm is now set

if the center (right) knob is pulled out the alarm is ON
if the center (right) knob is pushed in the alarm is OFF
    --------------------------------------------------------
I have owned this watch for about 10 years now and love it.
the past few years the chronograph buttons (on the left side of the watch) were not working well rendering the chronograph and count down timer functions unusable.

repairing a chronographs is expensive and watch makers usually charge several hundred dollars which is not a feasible fee for a watch of this value so i decided to open it up my self and clean it up and that did the trick.. its working like new!

    enjoy the watch!
