Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player
I have some corrupted songs on my Sansa and when i plug it in, Windows does not show that the songs exist on my player. But when i turn it on they are still there, they just take up space. Is there anyway way to just clear my whole library and start over?
After some playing around with the thing I ended up not having to completely wipe it out. I just had to get the newest firmware from the Sandisk website. So I'd try that #1.
In addition, I've figured out how to get "format" to show up.
1.On your Sansa go to 'settings' from the main menu
2.Change the 'USB Mode' to 'MSC' [This was why 'format' wouldn't show up on mine, or so we think]
3.Open "My Computer"
4.Right click "Sansa e250" and select "format..."
5.Check "quick format" and run
That should work hopefully.

If you're fine with erasing your whole library, then just format the player. Connect the player to your PC:
1. Open "My Computer".
2. Right click "Sansa e250" and select "format..."
3. Check "quick format" and run.
4. Reapply the firmware from the sandisk website.
...and you're done. the sansa will be totally wiped clean. and now that you have the newest firmware, you shouldn't see this problem again.
