Question about Mitsubishi WS-55513 55" Rear Projection HDTV

WS-55513....Just need confirmation of the problem

Woke up this morning to the led flashing problem. Seems like I have the same issue as a lot of others have posted here about the DM module, but the led on my set does not keep blinking constantly, it would go off for a while and then start blinking again. However the set is not turning on. So, I just need confirmation if this is the same problem or something else, and if there was a way to confirm it. I read in one of the solutions that pressing input and menu buttons together brings up the self diagnosis mode, can anyone please help with what buttons are these exactly. Appreciate any help.

I don't think it is to do with a number, it is more to do with time. It flashes for about a minute then goes off and then starts flashing again for about a minute. That was a quick response, thanks. And hey it just came on, don't know if it will do this again. Is this an indicator of an imminent problem that might show itself later down the road? Thanks for yer help.

I tried turning it off and on again and this time it came on without any problems.

I'm starting to have that problem again. I turn on the tv and the timer will blink for a certain amount of time and then it'll go off by itself. After that it's random, sometimes the tv will come on and sometimes it doesn't. But, if it does then it won't have any problems for the rest of the day. This is baffling, help please.

    replace DM

    Picture of bad caps

The DM board is the one with the digital connectors on the back panel. If you already have it appart, you may as well check the caps on all of the boards. The caps that go bad are typically Jamicon brand caps in 1000 uF and 330 uF values. There are also a couple of 3300 uF caps in the PS that cause problems.
