TV went out over time. Sound immediately, but no Picture

TV went out over time. Sound immediately, but no picture. Loud POP noise when i changed channel. After a while it would "warm up" and would work fine. now doesnt show picture at all. In monitor mode shows alternating yellow and green (fuzzy) vertical bars.

Check the power supply first for bac capacitors (learn more here about bad capacitors: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague)
I had replaced capacitors in my, hopefully it did not cause damages to other circuits such as backlight inverter board.
