I have a Kodak CX6330 and I was getting error E45 as well - once the
lens had gone out, it wouldn't go back in and close upon switching off
the camera.
I opened up the camera (if you can't find a
screwdriver tiny enough, use a simple utility knife! you can break off
the tip a little bit and it fits) ..then I CLEANED the circular metal
contact surface under the selection dial carefully. ALSO, what I
think was the main problem, was that one of the four contact plates
(right underneath the selection dial), was bent backwards a bit. So I
used a tiny pincette from a swiss pocket knife to fix it. And that was
it, then I put the cover and batteries back, switched the camera on and
it worked fine, no error E45 anymore, YAY! That’s it from me, hope it works for you too.

Hi. I have an easyshare one 4meg pix camera and it has no life at all. I have just paid £16 for a new battery thinking that was the problem but the camera remains dead. Any answers??
