As above. I am getting no life from the flash.I have tried eveything in the menu.Camera still uneffected in daylight.Looked through the forum & does not seem to be a common problem. If the flash has blown is it a major job to replace. Thanks in advance.
The problem is either the trigger coil ( this is what triggers the discharge from the main capacitor, ) or the tube itself. Anyway , these integrated flash units which form parts of these compact digital cameras are normally replaced completely.
It is not a big job , and the parts are not expensive. and hence is not an expensive repair , but you will need to have it done by someone who has access to spares.
My best bet would be your Sony agent but this is not necessary. Ask for a quote first.
