My brother trip on my charger and bump my laptop to the ground while having my mouse in the usb port and my usb port and now my usb is not usuable and sometime it shorts when you try to plug something into the usb port. Do you know where I can find a replacement usb connector? I open up the laptop already and all I have to do is desolder the bad one out and resolder a new one in. What is the part number? Any help will be great!

This is what they call device interference, You might have to many wireless devices connected to a single USB port on your PC. Sometimes its a struggle between keyboard and mouse both wireless. Solution would be to limit the wireless devices to certain USB ports. For ex: plug the wireless keyboard to opposite USB port from the wireless mouse, vise versa. If you are using a multi-port USB connector, unplug the mouse from the multi-port and plug it to a single USB port on the PC.
Try to disconnect the mouse and reconnect it back.If it is PS2 mouse you must restart the computer. If it is USB mouse, try changing the port. On the first picture is PS2 connector, on the second USB connector.
open the laptop, desktop pc, and remove carefully the internal usb connector, that goes to the motherboard, BEFORE ANYTHING DISCONNECT THE POWER CABLE, AND EVERY SINGLE CABLE ITS CONNECTED TO, MOUSE, KEYBOARD...ETC. then see which kind it is, and go to your local hardware store, Best Buy, Fry's, or order it online.
