Small items missing from wash, need to access catch

I'm trying to figure out how to access where small items might disappear to in my front loader washer. A tech guy showed me once and I can't remember. I need to find some rings I believe were left in a pocket!

They can be pulled between inner/outer drum..Check clean filter
