Re: psp usb

What should happen? the psp will charge and the laptop will alert you that a new device has been connected. after installing the device you should be able to transfer files between the computer and the psp.

hopefully that helps.

I was playing my psp till i ran out of power now it wont charge through usb

For the PSP to charge via USB, it has to have an active connection with your PC or Laptop. In order for that to happen, the PSP has to be on and saying "USB Connect". You'll have to charge it with the standard PSP charger.

My pc does not read my psp, how do i fix it.? do i need to install a psp driver.? where do i find such driver for free.?

Hook up your Sony PSP to your computer via a USB cable. Turn on the PSP and put it in "USB CONNECT " mode (it should display the words "USB CONNECT" on the PSP display during the entire time you're transferring files, and plug it in if you don't have a fully charged battery).

How do I get psp thru usb which is connected to lap top to play

Be more specific with your questions please.

How to transfer files from pc to PSP?

How to Play PSP using the PC Monitor/TV/ETC?

(You need a PSP video out cable. You can find them at a number of retail stores or at GameStop, or the like. You can also order them online as well),

Also, you should use tSony Meda Go software to transfer any files.

....Oh, and one more thing, make sure you include your model number (either PSP 1001, 2001, 3001, or PSP Go),when searching for relavant information about the psp, since each model is different, especially the PSP 3991 & PSP Go models. They used improved copy protection on these newer models.

......Please remember to rate me. Thank You!!!

I am not able to start my PSP 3000 I am using a usb cord to charge the PSP, I am getting the hold light however not getting the power on please assist

When you connect the PSP via the USB, does the orange light power on? If you are using the standard USB cable and attached to the top of the PSP, from experience, it needs at least to have a little amount of battery power. If not, it will not totally power on or charge. You need the A/C adapter to charge the battery pack.

I can charge my PSP through USB cable even if its powered off. I'm using this one:

Can't connect psp 3000 to mac with USB cable

Try reformatting the memory stick. If that does not work he can try to connect just the memory stick it self ( may need an adapter) to the mac and formatting it there. Other wise you may need a driver for the PSP.

* Make sure you have inserted a memory stick, and enable the usb connection via settings=>usb connection

* Check the usb cable, or simply find another one to try if it works.

* If there is a memory stick inside the psp and the psp can recognize it, then you most probably have a problem with your cable or usb port.

* if there is a memory stick inside the psp and the psp cannot recognize it, as well as the computer, then you are most likely to have a failure with your memory card.

There are too many possibilities, maybe you can give me details straightaway, so more people can help you.

Usb cable

Just like sorta of add-on to szwaan's answer:

You must have a memory stick to put music into your psp such as mp3 files, the psp itself does not have any internal memory for you to store any music files whatsoever.

if you got a memory stick already, connect your psp to your computer via usb cable, select usb under the setting section of your psp, and the memory stick drive will appear in your "my computer", so you can drag your music into the Music folder of your memory stick and play them from your psp.
