Re: screen brightness with dcpower

This is normal if you have battery save mode. right click on the desktop and check your settings for screen or go into the control panel and check your battery save modes. not real sure where it is but that should give you a start of where to look.

I have acer laptop 5750G. It has a very dim light. tried to adjust the brightness but to no avail..

One thing that I can suggest to you that may save you money is to try a external monitor rather than repairing it at the moment.

Fix a fading display screen

Check Menu on screen and look for "Brightness". Change setting to 100% or whatever setting works for you. If it is already at maximum you do need to replace it. Some monitors do (eventually) "burn out".

How to increase brightness without fn+f6 keys because for now the f6 key is not working

You should be able to access brightness settings from the display or power options in your control panel. there you can set the screen display and make it on highest brightness setting permanenlty so it does not dimm when unplugged from the charger.

The print on my screen is very light and hard to read. How to fix?

The brightness of the screen on battery and on AC power is configured in the pre-OS setup.
When the computer starts you will see options like press F2 or DEL to enter Setup.
Choose this option and you should find your brightness settings.
Two points:
Lower brightness saves battery power.
Your notebook display will fade over time. You might be able to find a replacement at eBay. If not, I am sure Dell will fix it for you.
I hope this helps.

I can't adjusts my laptop brightness..i tried everything..display settings nothing seems to work..only when is charging seems like the brightness is better..but when i remove the charger it doesn't look...

The setting you need to change there is your power settings. The laptop dims the the display to save power when its unplugged. You will have to go into change power options from diplay settings i think.

Brightness problem

Try to Press and hold the function (fn) key and the then press Brightness + key, if you have proper drivers installed.

The Fn key will be near the Space Bar, and the Brightness key will be symbolized by some Sun or something like that in the Top row of keys.

When power charger is connected, screen goes darker instead of brighter.

You could have the battery settings wrong.

Go to Control Panel, Change Battery Settings, then Change Plan Settings of whichever plan is selected. Once there, set your display brightness for when the charger is connected to maximum with the slider. While there, you can also set the display brightness for when the battery is connected.

Good Luck.
