Question about Mitsubishi PD-4265 42 in. Plasma Television

Open Question

No Signal I have a PD-4265 Plasma TV, but when I turn it on I get "no signal" I can use the DVD player and it works fine, but it doesn't seem to be finding the signal with my Direct TV connection. I changed out the HDMI cable just in case but that didn't work. I have even tried all the channels (Monolink, Input 1, Input 2, Comp1, Comp 2, PC/RGB). I appreciate your time.

This is a tough one without seeing it. The audio is located on the main board. If you determine that it is not a problem w/ the hdmi cable, such as it not being secure to the tv and other device, then a new main board should fix the problem as long as it's not a problem w/ the the device that it is coming from. Have you tried another device w/ an hdmi cable to see if it still does it?

SOURCE: I have a Mitsubishi WD-60737.

Hello lily liver,
The problem with the television not being able to receive signal from the remote seems not to be too strange a problem as these devices can come up with mind bursting problems.
The problem with the television simply is from the sensor of the television. There is a metal that holds the televisions sensor so as for it to be able to receive signal from the remote. The metals could be rusty and break off the position where it is meant to be and would be having partial contact on the main board of the television.
The entire control panel is also linked to this sensor board, that is why it acts funny once in a while. The best thing to do is to have the control panel on the television replaced as well as the sensor light on the television. It is no longer receiving signal properly from the remote.
Resetting the television could last only for a period of time, therefore, the lasting solution to the problem is simply for you to have the control panel of the television replaced as well as the remote sensor that is in the television.
The solution to the problem is simply for you to replace the control board and the sensor of the television. That would solve the problem for you.
Hope this information was helpful in solving the problem. All the best Elect_Comp

Hi, We have a Panasonic Viera Plasma TV. The TV was on when all of a sudden we heard a few clicking noises and then the picture was lost and a 'no signal' message was displayed. We tried other channels...

It sounds like you have taken the steps to isolate the problem to the TV. it seems to be a bad tuner on the Main board. The no signal displayed indicates the TV is otherwise okay. If you have a DVD player or other source you can connect, and you get a picture, then your TV has a bad tuner for sure.

The input dvd screen says no signal and the DVD player doesn't seem to have any power.

If it is in warranty return it---parts for the DVD unit are not available--they would have to replace the entire DVD unit inside the set.

No video signal on hd tv by toshiba. could it be

check that you are getting signal from the dvd player by using another tv, if it works the dvd player is fine(which u have determined anyway) also check the input on tv to ensure that the input ccty (circuitry) is working as well. if the dvd player is working and tv signal is being picked up, check all the plugs and cords. Good luck.

DVD input channel reads "no signal" when I try to play a DVD

First I would run a dvd cleaner in unit! Second you could take tv apart and look to see if signal cable is loose. the power wire seem fine as it powers up, and accepts an eject dvd.
