TV turns off by itself or volume goes out usually within the first 15 minutes. The volume will go off and then I'll try to change stations and tv is black, I have to turn off, wait till the VIZIO light turns white and turn it on again. Sometimes it will shut off a few times in a row. Seems that after it's "warmed up" it won't act up like this.
Thanks. I live in south/central WI so a Haverhill MA tech would charge a bit to come to my place to fix it. :)Thanks. I live in south/central WI so a Haverhill MA tech would charge a bit to come to my place to fix it. :)

Emerson volume keeps going down related problems. Ask your Emerson ... myEmerson TV. It turned itself down to zero and stayed on the screen and wouldn.
It sounds to be its main system control memory IC fault. Just try a hard reset. Unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and replugh it back after 15 minutes or so. This must make it a hard reset. If it do not help, contact any service technician. For more information go to http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
First off, take the batteries out of your remote to see if it is a problem with your remote, if it is I would buy a new universal remote and try that. If none of this works then the problem is with your tv itself. Either the volume button on the tv is broken and works on its own, or the tv is having programming errors and you will need to have it fixed.
Main system control memory IC fault. This is a very small IC; have 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control-chroma IC. Check and replace it. Be sure to replace it with the same number printed on it; in all respect. Otherwise, it won't go. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Before replacing it, try a reset to this set, and then check.
There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here.
Thanks for using FixYa. The TV
will automatically turn itself off after approximately 15minutes if it is tuned
to a vacant channel or a station that completes its broadcast for the day. This
feature does not work in VIDEO mode. If the power is cut off while you are viewing the TV,
the last mode memory feature will turn the TV on
automatically when the power is re supplied. If the power is going
to be off for a long time or you are going to be away from your TV,
unplug the power cord to prevent the TV from turning on in your
absence. You’ll also need to check the swollen/bulged capacitors
on the power supply board inside the TV. The TV itself turned it off in the
case of any bad capacitors or overheating with the help of built-in sensors. You’ll
need to replace the swollen/bulged capacitors. Please also check the power from
and to the TV.
Please do rate the solution and
revert for further assistance.
