Sent confirmation reports are available within the fax machine. Theoretically if the fax has been successfully sent, it should be successfully received on the other end as well. But unfortunately there is no confirmation for successful receipts, unless you are using IP based fax transfer.
You may have a sticking actuator arm under the feeder; or in the feeder depending on make and model.
This would allow the pages to be sent but not counted correctly.... I assume that the count on the confirmation report is always LESS than the pages actually sent, at the time you have the problem.
It's more complicated than it needs to be. You'll have to refer to the user manual under 'user parameters'. It's to difficult to explain here.
