Clicking noise on gas oven

when you were cleaning the cooktop did you remove the knobs and spray ,did any liquid fall were the knobs was taken out from. if yes you wet the burner switches it should dry in a day or so depending on what you used to clean it with to speed up the process remove the knobs unplug cooktop if possible and wipe the switch area if this doesnt help take a blow dryer and dry them that way or try good old fashion wd40 it repels water ,spray each one till yu find the culprit it will stop right away.
