we installed 2 fans in differents rooms 1&2, after a few weeks one 1 stop working with its own remote and continue working with the other 2 from the other room, we exchange the badone 1 and still did not work with the new remote, but does with the old second one from the other room...what should i do ????
note : is there any phone where we can talk , other than 800-283-6513 ? ??
thank you , !!
There is a small opening on the top of the fan with four small (DIP style) switches. In order for the remote to work, both the fan and remote must have the same combination in the switches. Remove the battery cover from the remote to have access to the switches, then using a small tool (a ball point pen will work just fine) set the switches to the same combination both in the remote and the fan. For example: If you set the remote to: off, off, on, on; then the fan should also be: off, off, on, on. You can set the remote for the other room with a different combination as to avoid any interference between the two. Please rate this solution if it was helpful. Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!

The variable speed switch in my HB Fan broke and when I took down the unit, the wires fell out so that I could not tell which wires went to the four receptacles on the switch unit. I replaced the unit and guessed at the position. Fan works but does not have the middle speed. Is there a resource to tell which wire goes in 1,2,3 and L by color?

I need a wiring diagram for Hampton Bay model AC-374. I bought a display model unknowingly that the wires were cut inside the housing. There is a sleave of four (4) wires that has been cut in which i do not know where or how they are to be hooked up. There is a black and white wire that was not cut that is hooked up to the incoming power supply. The lights come on but that's it!...nothing else.
