Question about GE WSM2700W Unitized Spacemaker Washer and Dryer

GE WSM2700RDWWH Spin/Drain Intermittent Issue

This washing machine was purchased in July 1995 and has started having an intermittent problem this year. The problem seems to occur during the spin and rinse cycle. When the cycle is complete, the contents are soggy wet and the soap has not been rinsed out. The problem does not occur during every cycle -- in fact, the last three cycles have been just fine, but the cycle previous to those three had the problem.

Five technicians have been out to investigate the problem and they can not identify the cause. In an effort to do something, they replaced the washer timer and pump, but the problems still persists.

I'm not sure what else to do. Any help would be much appreciated.

If this machine has a mechanical motorized dial (old style), then it might have worn contacts or a defective motor in the clock. If it's electronic, then it could be a computer related issue.

Intermittent water on floor

Check the inlet valve hoses, even if inlet is at the back, the water may drip down and flow on the front part on the machine. There you also have the PUMP, a faulty pump may leak intermittently.
Here you get all diagrams and parts for your appliance.

I have a GE Profile Prodigy top load washing machine. Sometimes the spin cycle does not spin, sometimes it spins. It makes a clicking noise during gentle cycle

The gears maybe going out. Sometimes it is able to engage in the other direction which the spin, sometimes not. Washing machine have complex gears that in one way agitator works, and the other the gear locks to turn the whole tub. The clicking noise is probably the locking mechanism in the gears that has caused the whole intermittent problem.

110.26842692 series 80, tries to spin while pumping out.

correctm the lid will need to be closed to spin/drain water, if your experiencing an issue that it intermittenly stops during thiscycle, possible that the lid switch is GOING bad, and not always making contact.

Neptune won't advance from Rinse to SPIN

If the clutch fails the first thing noticed is a UC or DC error displayed and there is no drain or spin.

If you are seeing the above error and having a problem with spin and drain then the most likely cause of this is the clutch. The clutch fails to lock down the spinners and the basket is unable to go into spin and without a 90 RPM there is no drain.

Replace the clutch.

GE Washer

have they checked the door lid switch? could be intermittent also because if the switch is not close, it would not drain and spin anymore. try to bypass the switch temporarily by shorting it out then use it . becarefull because you can now open the door while it is spinning ad it is very dangerous.

No final extract spin

P-bass, sounds like your problem is in the lid switch actuator that mounts to the bottome side of the top. I have found a bunch of these actuators just missing making the switch. Therefore the intermittent problem. Solution is to just bend it enough to insure making the switch on every closure. back.
