Have something stuck in between the drum and my dryer wall. Please help. I'm sure I can fix it myself if I had the instructions.

Question moved form GE Land Phones.

Is it clothes like a sock or underwear? Take a wire coat hanger and un-twizzle it with pliers. Pull the door gasket back a bit and slip the hooked end between the inner and outer drum. Pull the item to the front. You can turn the drum to help the item catch onto the hook.

I have azanussi zwf1437w washing machine. The drum has become stuck and won't turn and can't be turned by hand. There are no socks etc stuck between the inner and outer drum that I can see.

Well, I hate to tell you, but the drum will have to be looked at and that means opening the machine up. It probably dislodged from its mounts from excess vibration caused by unbalanced loads in the drum.

The drum on my wma 40 seems to go tight any ideas why

may have something stuck between the inner and outer drum...... socks tights and womens skimpies very easily slip down at the bottem door seal.... afraid the machine needs a total strip down if this is the case. remove the door and front panels, the drum has a front cover held on by a number of clips..... remove all clips take cover off....find said item and put back together shouldnt take more than an hour.. if it isnt that,.then rear bearing could be shot at,, sorry

I have a Zanussi ZWF1241W and something is stuck in the drum. The drum does not spin freely and prior but does not have any play. What is the best way of checking this and getting the obstruction out....

It was a sock wedged between the lip of the spinning drum and the outer (stationary) drum casing. I managed to ease it out with some pliers - rotating the drum and pulling. Be careful though not to nick the door seal (as I did). It may be a better strategy to get the door seal off and then remove the obstruction. I'm about to find out how easy/hard/fiddly it is to get a new door seal onto this machine!

My WD440 has trown its drive belt and something

hi
it sounds like there is a sock or something simular stuck between the drum and tank, the paddle is removable which may help you hook out the item,if you grab the drum paddle from the rear and pull it towards you it will then lift up,once you have removed the offending item, you just line up the slots on the drum with the pegs on the paddle and push towards the rear of the machine and you will here a click, this means the paddle is secure.

Kenmore eats socks - now they are moldy

Hello seesoc,

You can try to get them out yourself but not to sure, depends on where they are at. Small clothing items (like socks) usually get stuck in the rubber gasket. If you have not already check the rubber gasket really good and see if you find them. If they have gotten past that point probably not something you want to do yourself. They would be inbetween the inner and outer stainless steel drum. If you cant find them take care if you start the wash and leave, there have been a lot of reports of the socks working thier way over and blocking the water intake hose from the soap dispenser causing all the water to come out the front and on the floor. If you can find them and get them out the best fix is to get a large garment bag to keep all the small items together and from wandering off during the wash. Hope this helps and I hope they are just in the gasket and not inbetween the drums.

Thanks,

How do you remove underwire lodged between drum and outer case

hi to remove bra wire from between drums ? you might try this 1st ? if you diconnect water supply hoses and unplug power supply then remove rear panel from machine you will have access to the large rubber drain hose from outer drum down to discharge pump ? ok hose is held by spring wire clips both ends remove clips then hose you may find bra wire either in hose or close to drum drain if you need ? feel inside drom via drain hole ? or probe with a piece of coat hang wire ? you may even find the mysterious missing sock/ thong / etc when you disconnect the hose too?? any debri has to lay in bottom of outer drum and so a little patience will locate them using this method instead of removing the main front door sealto drum for access to same area also with rear panel off you can check belt tension ? hope this helps/inspires you ? best wishes from uk

Drum is stuck

Maybe that a sock or other piece of clothing get between the clothes tub and the outer tub. Open washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, try to remove the clothing through the port. keep a rag nearby to dry up spillage of water when removing the rubber host. Good luck !!
