From my experience I advise you to check the brush of washing motor in the opposite could be:

E51 - Motor power supply triac short-circuited
PCB faulty; current leakage from motor or from wiring.

E52 - No signal from motor tachometric generator
Motor faulty; wiring faulty; PCB faulty

E53 - Motor triac sensing circuit faulty.
PCB faulty.

E54 - Motor relay contacts sticking
PCB faulty; current leakage from motor or from wiring

Water is coming through the tray but there is a buzzing sound & there is not much water. Could there be a blockage with the jet stream feed into the drum of our Zanussi Jet stream 1400 ?

more than likely, the buzzing sound is probably the circ pump struggling. this is very common. first check filter is clear. if it is there is a hose from the circ pump to the top of the tub or to the door seal, make sure that isn't blocked. don't worry ab there not being much water in the machine, these machines don't use much.

E40 fault on zanussi washing machine is it worth repairing or to buy a new one 8-9 yrs old ?

A Zanussi E40 error usually indicates "Door open.Check interlock and associated wiring check door latch, check module and connections." However, what most people don't know is that most manufacturers route the poser to the door interlock through the same curcuit that powers up the carbon brushes on the motor. So if your motor brushes are worn down, the door won't lock. Your machine is about the right age for its brushes to be worn out, so I would check this out first. Motor brushes are cheap, easily available on Ebay and fairly easy to fit. Take the current brushes out, if they are less that three quarters of a centimeter long, changing them is a highly likely fix for your problem

Zanussi turbodry wdt 1075 washing machine fills & drains but does not perform wash cycles or spin cycles drum does not rotate

Quite probably the motor brushes. Disconnect from mains. Tilt machine backwards as far as possible. On motor, disconnect wires to brushes. With a multimeter, check continuity between brush and any segment if the commutator. If open circuit, replacing the brushes should do the trick. Also visually examine the commutator for damage

Removing the old motor to replace

Hello,

On that model If it has not been modified should be a main plug into the side of the motor with 8 wires will need a bit of a wiggle back and forth to release and a green and yellow earth wire to the body of the motor. there are not any other wires.I thimk you may have just disconnected the 2 brush wires which are with the motor anyway. Are you sure the main motor is faulty and not the carbon brushes.Try that and Good Luck.

Zanussi 1400 jet model nowjd1457w ball bearings have come out

If ball bearings have come out, then there are only 2 possible places they could have come from.
1- The motor bearings.
2- the main drum bearings.
In both cases, it is a expensive fault to rectify.
To check, remove drive belt, and spin drum by hand, this should help you to tell if it is the main bearings or the motor.

Hi zanussi fjr 1254 w error code e90 what does

This error code seems to be the control board detecting a wrong configuration (in other words, an illogical set of sensing conditions, from its connected sensors and wiring). It apparently can happen, when wires become badly contacting, or if contaminated with motor brush carbon (the horrible black powder that comes off the motor commutator and brushes), or corroded from other contaminants from the soap dispenser area. You should be able to check this, remove, clean and replace the contacts:
Thanks

Zanussi aquacycle 1400 fle 1416w started to make an electric arking noise when spinning now. Now it has stopped spinning. Will the motor be dead or will it just be the carbon bushes that need replacing....

Hiya Cheap6... more than likely the brushes.. which are easily checked to see if they are worn down.. otherwise its a new or RE-con motor.
