Usually it's Fn + F8. Check on the keyboard, there should be one of the function keys labeled "CRT/LCD" or with a barreled square (meaning a monitor's shape) on it.

for most laptops just plug the projector in to the laptop, then hold FN and F4 together and it should switch to the projector
