Question about Nintendo Wii Console
I just recently got a Wii and wanted to connect it to the internet wirelessly using my router. My router works with the laptops in the house wirelessly and the signal is very strong but when i went thru and follwed all the setup steps on the wii and when it to test the connection an error screen popped up. I know what the passwords are that it needs becuase i setup the wireless router it is trying to use for the internet.
Try choosing a different type for your password...i've had the same error before and what i did was to change the password type from wpa aes-tkip to wpa-aes passphrase (this option will appear during your wii internet connection set-up as you would probably know by now) and everything right afer started to fall in place perfectly...my wii started connecting to my router and never had the same error code ever since.

A Wii has a macc address just like any other networked element. Do you have mac-address filtering turned on? If so, you may have forgotten to enter your Wii mac address in the list.
Hope this fixes your problem!
