Question about Televison & Video
When turning on tv you hear an electrical pop sound different then the usual click, picture is fine but no sound. If I jiggle the antenna connection at the tv you hear that same popping sound. Sometimes after doing that and turning the tv on and off the sound comes back on,but will turn off again if antenna connection or wire is moved once more.
The problem is the silicone grease under the audio IC has melted and is shorting the audio circuit. To fix this, you'd have to clean the melted residue off the audio IC. It is a complicated job and I suggest calling your local Authorized Sharp service center to do this repair.
