Error 2 is "No paper" error.First, make sure there is no paper jam anywhere in the machine.. look inside, rear, where the paper tray (output) is, etc to see if you find any shreds or torn paper that may have gotten stuck and you didn't see.Look carefully in sheet feeder unit.Sometimes the plastic bud on the feed roller is breaking.In this case you need to replace the feed roller.

I have a Canon Pro 9000 and Mac OS X. Today, while printing some flyers, the printer stopped in the middle of one. I had to quit printing and couldn't start it up again due to a "Unable to open device (read failure)! message. I downloaded and installed new driver from Canon for this printer, but get the same message. Can't print at all. Help
