Mine had the same problem. The power cord plugs into a plastic piece that is attached to the mobo. I unsoldered this piece and found out that one of the three connections wasn't properly soldered. I put it in place and soldered it back together. Works great.

My Tom Tom XXL won't turn on when plugged in.

The GPS device runs off the battery ... so, you need to charge the battery (fully, or enough to power the GPS) before you start using it again. For clarity, if the battery is not charged, the GPS will not run when plugged into a power source.

Won,t turn when plugged into car.cigarete lighter has power, fuse is good in garmin unit

Check the cable that plugs into the unit itself. It possibly is damaged and will not acknowledge the GPS. Try replacing the car charger/ac adapter. Check NewPower99.com. they have a lot of inventory and great pricing. Good Lucl!

Won't power up

Is this the first time you have ever tried to turn it on?
Sometimes the battery drains too much, you need to let it plugged into a charger for a little while - at least 20 mins, then try turning it on again.

My little buddy won't turn on, it's charged, plugged into computer. green light won't come on at all. I held the power button on for 10 -15 sec with no response.

I have 2 of these devices. Try using a cellular phone charger with the same plug at the end and plug it in. I have waited 5-10 minutes after doing this and they have come back to life and turn on. Maybe it will work for you.

The grean light comes on, but it won" power up, Also does it have a reset? It's a tomtom 910

There's a reset on the bottom, next to where you plug it in. A small paper clip will fit. Push it in LIGHTLE to reset the unit.

My tom tom 300 won,t power up

1) Check the socket that you have the cable plugged into. Do other devices work with the same socket?

2) Check the cable between the plug and the device. Make sure the cable is firmly plugged on both ends. Try a different cable.

3) Make sure you've pressed the ON button firmly for sufficient time. This can be a second or two.

Garmin nivi 200 won,t turn on

The mini-USB jack needs to be either resoldered or replaced. When the jack is loose, you will not be able to charge the internal battery. The jack becomes loose from overuse. The jack needs more mechanical support to the pronted circuit board. I have fixed this problem many times.

My streetpilot c330 won"t shut off.

IT'S CALLED A FROZEN SCREEN...

2 OPTIONS

ONE, RESET IT !!! (See resetting instructions below)

TWO, let the battery die out!

Waking up your c330...

If you left your Garmin c330 on running the battery will have 1% life left. If you turn c330 back on again, it will flash screen for 3 seconds then die, even charging it at this point will not wake it back up. TO BRING IT BACK TO LIFE... plug in the power home or car into Garmin c330. There is a tab in the front Garmin gray frame of your screen. You must take like your fingernails and under the logo "GARMIN" pull the whole gray plastic frame off. Underneath the plastic frame to the right hand side. There is a "RESET" button. Make sure power is plugged in while hitting reset. Your battery should come back to life. Cheers

Navnet VX2 System won,t power up, have voltage at plug in. Are there any fuses that might be out ?

Remove all connectors aside from the power cable then attempt to power up. If the unit turns on, it may be your radar if you had one one it originally. If so plug the radar cable back into it with it off and try powering up. If it does not, then thats the issue. the Radar or your cable.
