When the phone doesn't have any SIM card in, it should read Emergency in the desktop. If it say no service, it either have very poor reception or the phone have a hardware failure.

Go to this website www.i9forum.co.uk register and check the forum out for a solution, I've had a quick look but its mainly about mms & gprs. If this is what your after the settings the instructions are there on how to set it up.
I'm with Telstra 3g and have the new sciphone i9 3gs and it works great.

China Mobile of modal i9+++ of sciphone make is not detecting the sim. it is showing the net work signal with out sim card and when sim is inserted it is showing either searching mode or emergency mod...

For I9 support visit to following website: http://www.i9forum.co.uk/. You will have to register to access the site. For your sim card turn it over. It should face up in the bottom bracket and down if you are inserting it into the top bracket. I hope this helps.

I have a sciphone i9 got it today it comes up t mobile when I put my sim in but I can't make or recieve calls or texts - can anyone help???

When you place your T-Mobile SIM card in the phone, what does it shown in the main desktop? It should say T-Mobile, if it doesn't, then you are either placing the SIM card in the wrong way, you are not in the best place to get a good signal, or the SIM card slots in the phone is in Flight mode. To check, go to the SIM card profile and make sure that it says Dual SIM Open.

How to detect the sim card i put?

I guess your phone has not been unlocked yet. Unlocked phones do not have any specific carrier software and work with all GSM carriers. These include T-Mobile, Cingular and AAAA . Multi-band unlocked phones also will work with carriers in other countries. So I guess you need to unlock your phone so that u can enjoy in your country.

My sim card doesnt work in my sciphone i68+

I see that this had been a while. The reason that your Sim cad doesn't work could be various: 1. Make sure that your phone is quad band, if it's a tri band then make sure that ATT works in 1900mhz. If it works only in 850 and your i68+ is a tri band, (which is not suppose to) then it will never work. As far as I know all i68+ original are quad band, some fakes i68+ are sold as quad band but are actually tri-band. 2. If you ATT sim card is a 3g card, it won't work either. These phones are not yet equip to work with 3g. I hope this clear up at least a little of your doubt with the Sciphone.

Sciphone Wont Accept Simcards

Maybe your phone does not support the frequency of those providers. Check if it is Quadband. Then it should have no problems. If it has less than that, return it to the seller.
