My mom put my ipod nano 4th generation in the washing machine, and now the ipod wont turn on unless its plug to the computer or the power cable

you mighht have to format the ipod to mac format

Reconnect your iPod to the Primary Computer where you set up the iPod originally. This will unlock the iPod and allow you to change the lock code.

the ipod of the 4th generation does only charge in USB mode and the Harman & kardon speaker only supports I link charge mode(fire wire 1394) so i bought an awsome sounding machine wich does not charge my ipod nano.
however i must say that i have a solution, when you put the USB cable in the back of the H&K, you can charge the nano with a charging device of an ipod.

What is the error code exactly are there any numbers? With the exact error message this should be an easy fix

Try doing this: Toggle the hold switch and put it back in the off position. Then press and hold the center button and the menu button simultaneously for ten seconds and the apple symbol should come up on the screen. Then it should work like normal. Hope this helps!

Try holding the Play/Pause button down for a few seconds. Like maybe 5 or so, thats how my 3rd gen turns off.

the ipod turn itself of when inactiv normaly after 20 to 40 sec

i did that with my video it just kills the hard drive... my didnt work . you could replace the hard drive for it has long has screen and click wheel still work

there must be a virus problem..a bbetter solution is put it on n let all the battery get over..and then recharge it from the beginning.

maybe ur connection is not proper. try putting the wire properly.
